The Deutsche Bank Award Creatives (Deutsche Bank Award for Creative Entrepreneurs) help young, creative entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. Aspiring individuals who want to go into business in the creative industries and require practical and financial support are being targeted. Applicants will be able to explore, develop and establish their creative ideas into sustainable ventures – through business planning training, mentoring and capital funding for starting-up.
Deutsche Bank Award Creatives This year, the Deutsche Bank Award Creatives aims to find the best young talent with the ability to drive positive social impact through their creative enterprise. The programme aims to enable and celebrate creative entrepreneurship for social good, led by 18-30-year olds in the UK today.
It is open to 18-30 year olds seeking to drive positive impact through creative enterprise.£60k prize fund with £100K worth of tailored business support for five winners. All business stages are eligible from idea stage to scaling up and the awards are creative industries specific. Entrants will have the chance to win funding for their creative enterprise and a year of business support. The prize package is designed to give applicants everything they need to accelerate their idea or existing business, so that they can take it to the next level.
To enter the Deutsche Bank Award for Creative Entrepreneurs:
- Must be between 18-30 years old. They should have turned 18 by the time applications close on March 31, 2021, and not older than 30 years old by June 30, 2021. If applying as a group, then the majority of the main applicants must fulfill these criteria.
- Can either apply with a well thought out idea or with an enterprise that has already launched.
- Must be able to demonstrate that a key driver for the business is to create positive social impact.
- Can be a not-for-profit, commercial idea or enterprise.
- Must own a material share in the business and be responsible for the direction and leadership of the organisation. This would normally include holding the title of CEO, Founder or Co-Founder. If applying as a group, then at least one applicant must hold title of CEO, Founder or Co-Founder.
There is a cash prize fund of £50,000, to be shared amongst five winners. How much awarded per winner is not fixed but assessed on a case-by-case basis. Applicants who proceed to the second stage of the competition will be asked for the amount of prize monies they would like to apply for from three incremental categories of £2,000-£5,000; £5,000-£10,000; and £10,000-£20,000.
