What is the Eden Tourism Grants?
Eden Tourism offers a small marketing grant for tourism-related projects in the Eden District. There is a maximum of £500 available per project and applications can be made at any time throughout the year. The Eden Project is one of three South West projects to receive funding as part of 5G Create, a £28.3million joint investment between government and businesses to test how the country can seize the full benefits of 5G and help British industries capitalise on the power of modern technology.
The environmental centre, which attracts more than 1 million visitors a year, said it was looking for funding for the project after carrying out a feasibility study. It is understood the Morecambe project would cost about £100m to launch, half of which would be government funding, with the remainder provided by private investors and philanthropists.
