What is The Competitive Feasibility Fund for Female Entrepreneurs?
Enterprise Ireland have established a The Competitive Feasibility Fund for Female Entrepreneurs aimed at stimulating high potential female-led business start-ups. This initiative is part of a drive by Enterprise Ireland to boost the number of innovative, export-oriented businesses being set up and led by female entrepreneurs.
Enterprise Ireland launched a call for applications today Wednesday 12th November to the Competitive Start Fund for Female Entrepreneurs or a female-led new start-up company, active in the Manufacturing & Internationally Traded Services sectors including the following subsectors: Internet, Games, Apps, Mobile, SaaS, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Software, Lifesciences, Food, Cleantech and Industrial Products.
The objective behind the creation of the Fund is to encourage female entrepreneurs at the early stages of setting up business to carry out feasibility studies to determine the potential of their product or service to be marketed on a global scale. Specifically Enterprise Ireland is seeking applications from female entrepreneurs, or companies with
female led management, who are involved in early stage export focused businesses.
The funding will be used to carry out a feasibility study researching the potential for development of the business to be marketed on a global scale. Businesses that are existing or potential clients of Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Startup department may apply. They must also be operating in the areas of manufacturing or internationally traded services, must be less than five years old and not have annual revenues of over €60,000.
The funding call is open to female-led start-ups in manufacturing and internationally traded services, including internet, games, apps, cloud computing, enterprise software, life sciences, food, consumer products, medical devices and e-health.
