What is the Wenta grants?
Wenta grants are a not-for-profit, social enterprise for offering a diverse range of business support services for Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, to both start-ups and existing businesses. Services include business advice such as starting a new business, grants and funding, workspaces – including free desk space for start-ups, training courses, webinars and workshops.
SEMSUP provides advice and support along with Start Up Business Grants for entrepreneurs and self-employment, with a focus on increasing the number of start ups, including social enterprises.
The support includes:
- One to one business advice
- Webinars and workshops
- Access to business start-up services
- Specialist social enterprise support
- Match funded grants of up to £3,000
If you are starting a business and registered with ‘The South East Midlands Start-up Programme’, you could be eligible for a ‘match-funded’ business start-up grant ranging from £500 to £3000* to help you get things set up.
This grant can be used towards any start-up or development costs which can be attributed to your new business such as:
- Marketing and promotional support
- Website development
- Professional/legal advice
- Financial planning/advice
- Intellectual property advice (trademarks, patents, design registration, copyright etc)
