Win up to £20.000 from LSE Generate for your business venture!

The £20.000 from LSE Generate funding competition twice a year, during the Michaelmas and Lent terms. Each competition has 3 to 5 winners, who will each take home a share of £20,000 to spend on their ventures.

Both current LSE students and alumni graduates, with no restriction on year of graduation, from the UK and overseas can apply.

The programme welcome’s new ventures at one of these stages:

  • Pre-launch – You have identified an opportunity and are in the process of developing your market understanding, proposition and initial team. 
  • Live – You have an initial team, minimal viable product or service, and are in negotiations with or working with your first customers.

The programme is packed with funding competitions, events and networking opportunities. We support LSE innovators at each stage of your entrepreneurial journey and provide the infrastructure to build, develop and scale your ideas. It will culminate in LSE Generate’s pitching finale, where the most promising LSE entrepreneurs will present their businesses to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to £20,000 to develop their ventures.

Who can apply for this fund?

Your venture must be a commercial product or service rather than a charity or organisation that relies on grant funding. You can articulate how your venture contributes to the SDG’s and you are a current LSE student or alumni.

There is no restriction on how many team members you can have for each entry, but you will need to explain the role and contribution of each person.

The funding competition grand finale will take place this year in the UK. If you are located in the UK please make sure you would be available to pitch in person on both the 31 March & 1 April 2022, if you make it through to the finals. If you are in another country you are free to pitch via zoom.
