Business Growth Grant Worcester City

Successful applicants will be offered a grant of between £1000 and £3000 which must be match-funded, pound for pound, (at least) from the business’s own resources. Your project will need to cost a minimum of £2000 in order to be eligible. Grants are limited to one per business and are subject to availability of funding.  Applicants or businesses who have received a Worcester City Council or Enterprising Worcestershire Growth grant within the last 5 years will not be eligible.

We have grants of up to £1,000 for eligible businesses which are within their first year of trading, and which are based in the city of Worcester. The grant must be match-funded, pound-for-pound from your business’s own resources. The grant is for capital items as well as start-up costs such as initial stock, training and marketing to launch the business.

If you are looking to launch a new product , enter new markets or employ more staff you maybe eligible for a Growth Grant.

• the grant is available for expenditure which will help the business grow e.g. repair and refurbishment of premises; equipment; product development; website development; training. It cannot be used for normal business costs e.g. ongoing costs, replacing equipment
• The grant must be matched pound for pound by the business
• The business must provide the applicant with minimum 30 hours/week work and be the only source of employment
• The applicant must submit a business plan which clearly demonstrates growth
