What is the Dogpatch Labs?
Dogpatch Labs has announced the 11 start-ups that will take places in the new NDRC Accelerator, the first cohort since the consortium took over the running of the programme. There was a record level of interest in the six-month-long accelerator, with 500 applicants for the places. This year’s cohort covers a range of industries, from data privacy compliance and market intelligence tools to digital marketing and edtech.
Dogpatch Labs is a startup hub, located in the historic chq Building and in the heart of Dublin’s Digital Docklands. Our mission is to accelerate the development of Ireland’s startup ecosystem by providing a valuable community from where you can grow, share knowledge and form connections
The newly designed national accelerator programme will be open to globally ambitious early ventures and national and international entrepreneurs. Successful start-ups will receive €100,000 investment, workspace in Dublin’s docklands, and a mentor-led programme delivered by international and national industry experts.
New features include access to an international VC and corporate network and a three-month programme to accelerate the growth, scaling and fundraising for start-ups after the accelerator. Non-equity pre-accelerator programmes will be delivered to a broad range of early-stage companies and entrepreneurs across Ireland, providing support at each stage of growth and acting as a pipeline to the accelerator programme.
The new setup will also have gender diversity quotas for full accelerator participation, meaning that at least 30pc of funded startups must have at least one female founder. There are no provisions or diversity quotas for racial, ethnic, cultural or sexual orientation grounds.
