What is the Grow It Award?
The Grow It Awards supports social entrepreneurs looking to scale up their venture by providing tailored support, access to workshops and networks and up to £15,000 in cash. Applicants must have identified a social issue, developed a business model and demonstrated effectiveness through compelling performance evidence.
Grow It Awards are for:
- Individuals over the age of 16
- Living in the UK
- People who are experienced, ambitious and capable of growing their venture
- People who are committed to working full time on their venture
With a social venture:
- That mainly benefits the public or a community in the UK
- That is ideally between one and five years old
- That is ready to grow to a local, regional or national scale
- That offers the individual a learning opportunity
- That is a new initiative
The Grow It Award can offer you:
- A package of support and funding tailored to suit you
- Specialist advice from relevant experts
- Access to resources to help get you up and running

Winners of this competition will receive £15,000 prize to help you grow your ventureas and expert, tailored advice to help you to achieve your ambitions. Alongside the funding, winners get a unique package of support including one-to-one coaching from a dedicated award manage, training, mentoring and access to networks of other passionate people doing good
How to apply:
- Complete our application form on QM Careers Hub.
- Create a 2-minute video pitch (max) that introduces your idea. In your pitch you should include:
- A summary of your idea
- What problem are you solving and your solution
- Who your customers/ users are (e.g. who you think would pay for it)
- Why you need funding, and how this funding will allow you to test your concept
