Social Enterprises can get grants and loans to help increase their community, economic and environmental impact, such as:

  • restoring a derelict building
  • buying equipment
  • meeting start-up costs

The eligibility for the fund is that any organisation which applies for investment from The Key Fund must have been turned down by a bank, building society or another lender of merit. The organisation applying must have links to community benefits, or environmental aims which are at the core of the business. The profits from the organisation should be mainly reinvested in the business to complete these aims.

Businesses who will find support at Key Fund will be those organisations that can correlate their commercial work with the social impact of their mission statement, this is primarily community organisations, charities, social enterprises and social firms.
