What is the PAPI Yorkshire?

PAPI encourages innovation with 40% capital grants of up to £20k to support the development of new products or services. Our grants and workshops are open to SMEs in York, North Yorkshire and Leeds City Region. To be eligible, you need to be an SME in an eligible region, have a project with capital expenditure costs of £20,000+, be creating a new product or service, and adding at least one new full time job to your business.

PAPI Yorkshire

The PAPI project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020, and delivered by the University of York.  The PAPI project provides grants for equipment that enables innovation through new product development.

Who is eligible for the Papi Yorkshire project?

  • SMEs in York
  • North Yorkshire
  • Leeds City Region (which includes Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees, Calderdale, Bradford, Craven, and Harrogate).
  • For grants, the minimum project spend is £20k, and you need to be creating at least one new full time job as a result of the support.
  • Workshop applicants need to be SMEs in the areas above, operating predominantly B2B, and looking to innovate and grow.
